Put in of the Month
Pryamid Lake
The only place on the whole lake where a grove of trees reaches down to the lake marks this put-in spot on the NW side of the lake. Look for it as you drive North on the West side of the lake.
Unfortunately insects love the shade too! Continue North on the dirt road a little more than 1 mile. Look for 2 large rocks on the shore this is the best camping and launching spot. It's about 3 and a half miles to the Needles and hot springs-1 way. The hot spring is a geyser, spectacular but you can't soak in it.
The entire lake is exposed to every wind direction. Not a good place during windy conditions.
Disclaimer
These are put-ins that I have used, and maybe totally different when you are there, in other words, paddle at your own risk.
Always check weather and ocean conditions before you paddle!
