Carmel Bay

A great put-in, a pocket beach across the street from 26161 Scenic Road, Carmel,CA. It is exposed to the NW swell and launching conditions are better at high tide. Shallow rocks in the area so wear your helmet. If you look to your right you should be able to see the slot in the surf action. It runs from the SW to NE.
Excellent access to Carmel Bay Protected by thick kelp beds
It's a beautiful paddle along the white sand beaches of Carmel bay
Lots of sea otters
A beautiful protected pocket beach is your reward on the North side of Carmel Bay. Known as a nude beach the water here was much warmer. It measured at 64 degrees-mid May!

Tides appox. corrected High of 3.9' at 1:07 pm. Minor Low 2.5' 6:03 pm.
Air temp 63-68 degrees. Water temp 57 at put-in to 64 degrees North Carmel Bay
Sky Sunny and clear 10-15 mile visibility
Wind NW 10 knots or less with calm spots
Sea surface glassy to slight wind ripple
Synopsis Moderate High Pressure to the North West-weak low pressure surface trough over coastal waters
