Carmel Bay

May 19 2001

A great put-in, a pocket beach across the street from 26161 Scenic Road, Carmel,CA. It is exposed to the NW swell and launching conditions are better at high tide. Shallow rocks in the area so wear your helmet. If you look to your right you should be able to see the slot in the surf action. It runs from the SW to NE.

Excellent access to Carmel Bay Protected by thick kelp beds

It's a beautiful paddle along the white sand beaches of Carmel bay

Lots of sea otters
